| Description |
A Psaltery, which belong to the mother of Mrs. Barth Gabbert, Mrs. Matthew Wilson McDreary who passed away in 1873. Mrs. Gabbert was born in 1882 and died in 1958. This Psaltery had been given to the National DAR Museum, but since they were no longer interested in it, throught the efforts of Mrs. Mel Harper and Mrs. Dorothy Shrewder, it was released by the DAR to the Pioneer Museum. It is a stringed instrument 43" long, 19" wide and 27 1/2 in high. It is a stringed instrument, table type with a lid. It is mentioned in the Bible many times. |
