A crank type telephone (wall type) that was used for communication. In the country, people had these kinds of telpehome and were on party telephone lines. Sometime many as 10 families would be one line. Telephone number were (example 11F53). This would mean your ring would be: Line 11 and the ring would be 1 long and 3 shorts. |
